We love a good snack mix around here. I like having something on hand I can toss in a cup for munching. With Halloween approaching we decided spook it up a bit.
You can do whatever sorts of cereal, crackers, chips, candy, etc that strikes your fancy. Typically you'll want to do a cup to cup ratio. Here's what we did for this mix.
In a large bowl mix:
2 cups rice Chex
2 cups Bugles
1 cup pretzels
1 cup candy corn
Now, let's make it spooky with some ghost, mummy, and monster white chocolate pretzels!
1 cup pretzels
1 bag white chocolate chips
Starting with 1/2 the bag, melt the chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave in 15 second intervals until smooth. You can do the other 1/2 when you're ready
Using a spoon coat the pretzels in the melted chocolate and lay out on parchment paper
Use a spoon to pour a little extra chocolate into the eye holes
Add eyeballs as you please
Allow to harden
We also made a few witches fingers by dipping the tip of a Bugle into the white chocolate
Toss those spooky friends in with the rest of your mix and enjoy!
